Over the past several years, we have asked our members to complete pay rate surveys to provide the parents and care providers of our region a snapshot of the average pay for different child care scenarios (i.e. one child, two children, nanny shares, sitter, part-time, etc).

You can find the results of those surveys by clicking here.

We wanted to take this opportunity to update the pay rate information for caring for one child as it has been over a year since we last surveyed our community.

Today, we present the results of our May 2019 Caring for One Child Nanny Pay Rate Survey. Has the average hourly rate increased or decreased? Continue reading to find out!

What are you paying or being paid to care for one child? What responsibilities does the nanny have? Comment below and thanks to all of you who participated!

Trends and Analysis

We are beginning to see some interesting and noteworthy trends develop with our One Child Pay Rate Surveys:

  • The care provider experience level (located on page 3 of the results below) is steadily increasing year after year. We believe that the majority of this increase is due to more experienced care providers participating in our pay rate surveys. But in the past year, we have come across a large number of experienced nannies that have moved to our area due to the higher than national average child care rates here. This may be having a minor effect on the increasing experience level.

NEED A BACKGROUND CHECK?

There are many child care background check options available to you. This is what separates us from the rest. Learn more by clicking here!

No Hidden Fees

Look closely at some of our competitors’ packages. They charge you a package fee (just like we do) but then hit you with court access and DMV fees. We don’t do that. Unless your background check includes New York courts, the price you see is the price you pay.

More Records

While others make a big deal that they search 100, 200, or even 300 million records, through our partnership with EBI Inc., we can search nearly ONE BILLION records for you. This allows for a more complete search and peace of mind for you and your family.

Dedicated Support

EBI’s Candidate Care Team is standing by 24/7 to support your care provider candidate. If your candidate needs help during the screening process they can connect with the support team via telephone, live chat, or email.
