The Family:

This outdoor-loving family of three is looking for a wonderful nanny to partner with! They are laid back, and just moved to the Seattle area after traveling around California, Montana, Oregon, and Idaho over the past year. They enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, cooking and eating! Mom’s maternity leave is coming to an end and she is heading back to work in early May.

Their baby is easy going and happy! He has a set routine and is pretty good at following it already. He tends to only be fussy when tired, hungry, or needing a diaper change. He loves zippers, tags, chewing on toys, and being read to!

Allergy note: Their baby has a mild egg and dairy allergy.

The Job Description:

The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing and loving environment for their baby. Job duties will include:

  • Basic infant care, ensuring all needs are met daily
  • Facilitating naps and utilizing the Safe Sleep method
  • Diapering, hygiene care, and occasional baths
  • Bottle, snack, and meal prep as needed, including clean up after. Also, always making sure his food is free of dairy and egg, due to an allergy
  • Offering age-appropriate developmental and sensory activities both indoors and outdoors
  • Light child-specific housekeeping is ideal, but not required. This would include organizing play areas, putting away dishes, doing baby laundry
  • Tidying of spaces used throughout the day

Nanny Attributes/Qualifications/Requirements:

Their ideal nanny has at least two years of relevant infant care experience. They would love it if their nanny had previous experience in an early childhood education setting, such as preschool or daycare, but this is not required. Safe sleep training would be a bonus! The most important thing to them is that their nanny is trustworthy and provides loving, nurturing, and engaging care to their son.

Their ideal nanny is fully Covid-vaccinated/boosted and up to date on standard vaccines (TDaP, MMR, annual Influenza). They should also have a current infant CPR/First Aid Certification (or be willing to update asap). They are not open to the nanny bringing their own child at this time.
