Some parents don’t have the time to run a nanny search themselves and instead, rely on nanny agencies to handle the search, vetting, and placement process for their family.

How does this work? How much does it cost? How is a traditional agency different than what Nanny Parent Connection offers through our Concierge Service?

Let’s explore the world of nanny agencies and why you should seriously consider checking out Nanny Parent Connection’s Concierge Service.

As the year winds down, many nannies face a common question: how do you ask for a raise?

Advocating for yourself by requesting a raise can feel daunting, but with the right approach, you can have a productive and positive conversation with your nanny family.

Below, we walk through a step-by-step guide to make the process as smooth as possible, including example scripts you can adapt for your own situation. Let’s get started!

Hi everyone, Casey from Nanny Parent Connection back with an exciting announcement!

For the past five years, the Nanny Parent Connection Jobs Board has been used exclusively by our Concierge Service Search Team.

We’ve heard from many parents who would like to post their own child care need to the Jobs Board so that more nannies and sitters can get “eyes” on their child care need.

Today we are excited to announce that our new and improved Jobs Board is now live! Check it out by clicking here or view an example Jobs Board post below:

Hi everyone! It’s Laura from Nanny Parent Connection back with this week’s video.

Over the past year, our team has been approached by multiple nannies to discuss whether parents hiring a nanny or sitter should be background checked.

Several of these childcare providers shared some disturbing stories about sexual harassment, wage theft, and domestic violence that they had encountered.

While we have seen a few parents run background checks on themselves within our community, it is not common.

We reached out to several nanny agency partners from across the United States to get their take and heard a similar response: it is rare for parents to run background checks on themselves.

Should parents be background checked? Let’s explore the pros, cons and what our team recommends.

At Nanny Parent Connection, we want to talk about a topic that’s super important but often overlooked — finding time to take breaks as a nanny.

One major reason it’s hard to take breaks is that a nanny’s schedule is unpredictable. Kids have a knack for needing something right when you think you can sit down. Nap times can be inconsistent, and emergencies or unexpected tasks can pop up out of nowhere.

Below, we dive into why it’s so challenging for child care providers to get those much-needed breaks, along with some strategies that might help.

Welcome back everyone! It’s Casey from Nanny Parent Connection back with this week’s video!

Today, let’s discuss nanny care for special needs children. Children with unique needs sometimes require a care provider with specialized training or unique experience.

Finding these care providers can feel daunting and like you are searching for a needle in a haystack.

But fret not, because we have some great tips to help you navigate this challenge. We hope you find this useful!
