As the days grow shorter and you start thinking about indoor activities for the kids in your care, here is a fun, free idea worth trying. In this article, we’ll show you how to use ChatGPT to create amazing, customized stories about your children (or nanny kids).
Kids love seeing themselves as the heroes of their own story, and there is no limit to the tales ChatGPT can create. Does your child like the Berenstain Bears and superheroes? Build a story where the Berenstain Bears are superheroes with their own specific powers and your child joins them!
It only takes a few moments to set up. Here’s how it works.
If you aren’t currently a member of our community, we’d love to have you join. Nannies can join our community totally FREE and our Family/Parent memberships start at only $8.99/month!
Here’s a step-by-step look at how to create custom stories for kids using ChatGPT.
This idea comes from a friend with a computer science background, a fellow mom who had been using ChatGPT to create wonderful kids’ stories that her own children loved. We wanted to make sure everyone out there, but especially nannies and parents, has this information too.
Here is how you can get on the ChatGPT bandwagon and use that technology to create fun stories for children.
First, you’ll want to go to the ChatGPT website. Click here to visit.
If you don’t already have an account, you can easily set up an account within minutes. There is no cost.
Even with zero background using this technology, you can easily enter a prompt that creates a fantastic children’s story.
Here is an example of an initial prompt: “Create a happy, fun, adventurous children’s story with characters Lucca, age eight; Caliana, age six; and Lincoln, age six, involving rescuing a baby dragon from an evil wizard.”
From that prompt, a fantastic children’s story is generated, featuring the three children in a lovely, sweet, happy little adventure about how they rescued a baby dragon from an evil wizard.
If you want to adjust a detail, simply refine your prompt. For example, if you’d prefer the characters to be siblings rather than just children, go back to the message box and add a prompt like: “Make Lucca, Caliana, and Lincoln siblings.”
The story then regenerates to reflect the fact that they are siblings.
Once your story is ready, you can share it with your children, and chances are they’ll be delighted to see themselves in the adventure, and eager to use the technology to create new stories of their own.
You can also continue the same stories over time, carrying elements from previous stories into new ones.
To build upon a story, enter another prompt, such as: “Continue this story; create a new story where the baby dragon comes back to visit them but needs help finding its mother.”
Using this new prompt, you can build upon the previous story where the children went on the adventure and rescued the baby dragon. Now the baby dragon comes back to visit them, and they go on a new adventure to help it find its mother.
Children love that the story includes them, and they’ll likely enjoy using this technology to create new stories of their own.
That is how you can use ChatGPT to create stories for your children, whether you are a mom, dad or a nanny.
We hope you take this information, have fun with it, and create some fantastic stories that you can all enjoy together.
