Over the past several years, we have asked our members and site visitors to complete childcare pay surveys to provide the parents, care providers, and agencies of the Puget Sound region a snapshot of the average pay for different child care scenarios (i.e. one child, two children, nanny shares, sitter, part-time, etc).
You can find the results of those past surveys by clicking here.
After deciding to place our pay rate surveys on hold for most of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to announce the results of our December 2020 Childcare Pay Survey! A HUGE thank you to the over 700 people who took the survey!
This survey was very different than past surveys. We introduced a new “smart” format which we are very excited about, included specific COVID-19 related questions that parents and providers have been asking our team, and wrapped all of the different childcare types into one survey.
We also asked respondents for their feedback on the survey and how we could improve it. Respondents rated the survey 4.3/5 and provided some great comments on how we could improve in the future. Thank you for the important feedback!
Normally, we include a Trends and Analysis section for registered members to review but due to the extended length of this survey, we want to hear from YOU about what specific information you would like to see broken out (example: pay rate difference between Seattle and East King County).
If you are a registered member of our community, please login and then complete the form at the end of this page. If we receive multiple requests for the data that you requested, we will build additional slides and add them to this page.
To everyone that completed the childcare pay survey, thanks for helping out parents and care providers in our area better understand current child care pay rates 🙂
